On January 29, 2025, we invited selected leading representatives of the manufacturing industry to Berlin for the “Industry of the Future 2026” round table. In addition to touring the production facilities at BIOTRONIK, this year’s participants enjoyed an exciting exchange on strengthening the competitiveness of Germany as a manufacturing location. Megatrends, companies, digital systems, customer expectations – how can we bring everything together in the best possible way to remain competitive and successful in Europe?
It became clear that entrepreneurs are willing to invest in factories and people in Germany. However, it is mainly the political framework conditions that make this difficult to achieve. The entrepreneurs want the federal government to pursue an unbureaucratic, effective economic policy in close cooperation with the manufacturing industry – for sustainable production in Germany.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the following for their special commitment to our event:
- Gregor Zwinge, BIOTRONIK SE & Co. KG
- Frank Busch, BIOTRONIK SE & Co. KG
- Dr. Hubertus Bardt, German Economic Institute (IW)
- Jörg Brill, Airbus Defence and Space GmbH
- Janina Jänsch, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy
- Martin Schwarz, ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG
- https://www.stihl.deAndreas Widl, SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
This meeting once again empathized the importance of networking and cooperation across industry boundaries. We are convinced that the insights gained as well as the shared commitment to developing innovative solutions will make a decisive contribution to setting the course for a successful future in the industry.
