For over 15 years, the Manufacturing eXcellence Award (MX Award) has served as an important benchmarking competition that focuses on excellence in production and efficient process design according to the lean philosophy.
On February 19 – 20, 2026, the MX Expert Forum took place in Lüdenscheid, including the MX Awards 2025 ceremony, which is organized annually by the MX Network. This year, the Hilti Group, SMP Automotive Global, Festo Bulgaria and the JACOB Group were honored for their outstanding achievements in various areas of production management. Congratulations!
In addition to the award ceremony and presentations by the winning companies, there were also specialist lectures on the topic of “AI and Lean – the game changer.”
On behalf of Dr. Schönheit + Partner (S + P), Enrico Schönheit, Managing Director at S + P, presented scenarios for #nxtfctry, the factory of the future. Among other things, he explored the question of what workplaces in factories might look like in 2050: from transformable and demountable through bio-intelligent to AI-collaborative and self-learning. We are delighted that we at S + P were able to contribute our perspective on the success factors and future prospects of Industry 2050.
Many thanks to the Manufacturing eXcellence team for this great event!
