Dr. Schönheit + Partner developed a master plan for Dräger for a 72,000 m² site at its headquarters in Lübeck, Germany, to connect two production facilities. The result is a well-thought-out overall concept that optimizes logistics and production processes and makes sustainable use of space – for a future-proof and adaptable infrastructure.
The project’s focus was on synchronizing and consolidating the processes and production areas of two locations into one. The aim was to analyze the existing structures and design an optimized process flow. After developing the target concept, a schedule for the conversion and redesign of the site was created in collaboration with the project planning team.
The planned conversion and redesign of the site was implemented in five separate stages over a period of four years. Each stage involved the gradual development and construction of a new section of the undeveloped site, followed by the relocation of the corresponding production areas. This process was repeated until all processes had been reorganized and optimized.
