The master plan by Dr. Schönheit + Partner for KPG creates a new, attractive growth location in the Black Forest that meets the desire for more structure. The planned new building provides an ideal foundation for efficient processes and the structured further development of the company. In addition to providing room for growth, the new location enables a future-oriented design of production processes.
The client’s goals were clear: a straight-line hall that offers growth opportunities and allows for use without the need for expansion. Well-structured logistics and clear addressing create a holistic concept. The planning, from the inside out, provides modern workplaces that can flexibly grow with future requirements.
After defining the target process through factory planning by Dr. Schönheit + Partner, a clearly structured building was developed that spans the entire length of the site. The site’s sharp and obtuse angles are optimally utilized for parking, storage, and logistics areas. A protruding peripheral wing marks the main entrance to the new location and also houses the client’s administrative workspaces. These are characterized by large window bands, creating a modern working environment.
KPG Rotating Solutions is a medium-sized family-owned company based in Albbruck in the Southern Black Forest. As an international and highly specialized partner, the company provides turnkey solutions for large rotating machines such as turbogenerators, gearboxes, and their components such as gears – from research and development to fully tested components, maintenance, and service.
