Integrated factory planning from the inside out has allowed the most innovative production methods and processes to be incorporated into the structure and design of an economical, flexible and adaptable factory. The dialysis machine and infusion pump production facility includes administrative areas and a new training center. In the "Avitum Village," which was built as a precursor to the B. Braun City of Industry, marketplaces serve as central locations and optimize the interfaces between people and materials.

The term "village" captures the essence of the design, as the new production facilities for dialysis machines and infusion pumps, as well as the training center, are connected by central marketplaces for people and goods. The marketplaces are the central communication points for networking all operations throughout the facility. People and goods are distributed throughout the facility via the marketplaces. Their arrangement ensures short distances (mill wheel-like arrangement) and optimizes the connection points between people and materials.

B.Braun Production System Lead to Lean® Training Concept ̶ In preparation for the move to the new value factory, learning centers at the old plant accelerated the change process for managers and their employees and promoted understanding of the system. To ensure the sustainable success of the B. Braun production system, S+P Coaching trainers prepared managers and selected top performers for their future role in applying and improving the system and passing on knowledge. The goal: 55% increase in inventory turnover, +30% increase in process efficiency, 20% increase in productivity.
