Growing with production volume

The aim of the master plan was to add new buildings to the existing ones. The space available for new buildings was very limited, meaning that a lot of expansion space had to be created in a small area. The administration areas in particular needed to be adapted to the existing structures and heights in order to ensure seamless collaboration between the departments. In addition to production and administration areas, a canteen and several meeting facilities were also being created.

The master plan was designed with a final state that considers the POLOPLAST production program for 2030 and beyond. As part of this, a cafeteria with integrated meeting and office spaces was created, directly connected to the main entrance and the existing administrative areas. A rooftop terrace expands the social areas and provides an inviting space for employees.

The required production area was implemented on two levels, with space for production-related administration on the periphery. The logistics and storage areas were seamlessly connected to the existing hall, with a vertical extension and expansion providing space for a large high-bay warehouse.

The implementation occurred in three phases: The first phase included the cafeteria with administrative areas, the first half of the production area, and the first half of the storage and logistics extension. In the subsequent construction phases, the two hall buildings are to be gradually extended, thereby reducing the renovation work to a minimum.
