Sustainable production and optimized logistics processes

The challenge of this project was to develop a future-proof production structure that meets growing market demands. The goal was to optimize assembly and manufacturing processes, restructure logistics, and achieve efficiency improvements. Through the targeted restructuring of logistics, a 40% reduction in logistics costs was achieved, while production lead time was reduced by 35%, and productivity increased by 20%. In addition to functional efficiency, architectural design played a crucial role in creating a close connection between production, administration, and research.

The planning process began with the analysis and master planning, followed by design and approval planning. Dr. Schönheit + Partner coordinated the implementation planning as well as the tendering and awarding of contracts. The range of services also included representing the client and supervising the construction work to ensure on-time and cost-effective implementation. The focus of the building architecture was on a functional yet inspiring design: generous glass façades promote an open and communicative working atmosphere. In addition, optimized material flows, energy-efficient building technology, and flexible production layouts enable long-term adaptability to new requirements.
