MASTER PLAN as Long-Term Factory Development Strategy

Assigned by BRAND GMBH + CO KG, Dr. Schönheit + Partner worked out a master plan for the existing site in Wertheim (40,000 m²) and for the settlement of a new estate (39,000 m²) to plan the possible development steps at an early stage and in a well directed way. Based on the up-dating of the business strategy and the long-term development of the production programes first the needs for growth and change of the existing buildings and existent open areas were determined. The characteristic orientation of the master plan composes the systematic flow of material and human beings through the entire site. (planning from inside out).

Clean-Room production With Highest Demands Concerning Room - and Room Air Quality

As first building activity of the master plan the existing BRAND die casting production (BSZ) of BRAND GMBH + CO KG is expanded by approximately 4,200 m². The new clean-room of approx. 3,200 m² which was planned cost-consciously and aesthetically is the highlight of the die casting centre. It offers optimal production preconditions with a high degree of cleanness and safety. Via double-skin walls the air in the clean-room is evacuated and brought in again via air cushions in the suspended ceiling. The colour white dominates as basic tint within the whole clean-room. The technology of the building is located easily accessible on the roof. The logistics area enables the link to the logistics centre in timed routing. High changeableness and a continuous colour design ensure the best basic conditions for a freely configurable production of the future.

Versatility Meets Corporate Architecture

The new production hall for die-casting combines flexibility and versatility with a unique corporate architecture. The structure can grow with the demands of the next few years, both internally and externally. At the same time the foundation for a consistent corporate architecture for BRAND GMBH + CO KG was laid.
