What role does social responsibility play in a company? At Dr. Schönheit + Partner (S + P) a very big one! Together with our colleagues, we therefore want to live up to this responsibility over and over again.
With the Initiative Bauen Wohnen Arbeiten e.V. (IBWA – Initiative Build Live Work), we have found a project in the north of Cologne that is highly worthy of support. The aim of the IBWA is the professional and social qualification and integration of homeless, long-term unemployed and addicted people. The association follows the motto: “Homeless people build for homeless people”: on an old military site in the Ossendorf district of Cologne, the association offers social housing and thus makes a great contribution to overcoming social exclusion. During a visit on site, we were impressed by the extraordinary commitment of the IBWA team and are pleased to lay the foundation for a cooperative partnership with the donation of a fully automatic coffee machine.
The impulse for the expansion of our social commitment was given by the kick-off event of the forum „Unternehmen engagiert in Köln“ (companies committed in Cologne), which Dr. Martin Schönheit, Managing Partner S + P, and Enrico Schönheit, Director Business Development at S + P, recently attended. Under the patronage of Cologne’s Lord Mayor Henriette Reker, the aim of the forum is to promote the involvement of Cologne companies in social or ecological projects in the Cologne area. A worthwhile initiative where companies can network, get involved in Cologne, strengthen the city and make a difference.
